Laura Lautner, Owner

Laura left a teaching career working with underprivileged girls in 2002 to open Canine Capers Dog Daycare. Laura attended many seminars on dog behavior, obtained certification from the American Red Cross for Pet First Aid and put numerous titles on her own dogs. Her 11 year old chocolate lab Nixon is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and a Therapy dog with Therapy Dog International.

Canine Capers Dog Daycare quickly grew and in 2004 the new facility opened with 1,200 square feet of additional play space. Grooming was added in 2005. In addition to running a successful daycare, Laura has been on several committees, sponsored benefits and raised donations for dogs in need. She also donates to several local events each year. In 2006 Laura owned her first mastiff. Since then she has raised and shown her mastiffs in both the United States and Canada. Noble is also a therapy dog and visits nursing homes, schools and group homes each month bringing joy to those who meet him.
